Chemical and thermal accidents

Many people invest in personal protective equipment to protect themselves against chemical accidents, but no matter how good your protective equipment are they offer no guarantees that an accident or a serious injury never will occur.
The best way to avoid serious injury is to make sure that the accident never occurs. With the proper awareness and attitude, together we can prevent many accidents from occurring.

If the accident still happens, the right knowledge about the chemical risks and the proper use of personal protective equipment can increase the potential for an optimal treatment so that any adverse results and injuries can be prevented.

Medical Care System has a little bit over 30 years of experience in the field and we are specialised in identifying and minimizing the thermal and chemical risks regardless of the workplace. We offer a unique training programme with emphasis on the chemical risk in itself, as well as on the users’ attitudes and awareness of them.

grundkursThe course is 3 hours long and includes both theoretical and practical sessions in the field of chemical accidents and the use of Diphoterine. Participants gain an understanding of how a chemical injury occurs, what we can do to prevent it, and how and when Diphoterine works and what we actually do in case of an emergency. The programme ends with a knowledge test and after course completion each participant will receive a training certificate.

Hydrofluoric acid

First aid in case of chemical accidents with Hydrofluoric Acid

hf_utbildningThe course is 3 hours long, and specifically focused on companies which handle hydrofluoric acid, and the use of Hexafluorine. The participants gain a basic understanding of how a chemical injury occurs and what we can do to prevent it and what we actually do in case of an emergency. In this course we focus on what makes the Hydrofluoric acid so dangerous and how we can best protect ourselves against it. The participants learn how Hexafluorine works and the limitations of traditional treatments such as the calcium gluconate gel. The programme ends with a knowledge test and after course completion each participant will receive a training certificate.

ILU

ILU

Client-specific risk assessment and customised education in case of chemical accidents

ILU stands for the Swedish word for Assessment, Solution and Education and is a 3h long customized education in chemical accidents and the use of Diphoterine/Hexafluorine. ILU is based on the basic courses presented above, but is tailored to the risks in Your particular company.

Medical Care System initially conducts a client-specific risk assessment, where we help you identify the chemical hazards present in your workplace. We document and then analyse the risks and put together a complete training package for educating the staff in your company. Based on the risk analysis, we can also recommend an appropriate first aid equipment tailored to your business.

This results in a safe workplace where every person takes responsibility for their own safety and health.
ILU follows the Swedish AFS 2011: 19 regulation and is designed to support the employer’s responsibility for chemical work environment risks.
